I was nervous to take my dog there because the last time he went to a kennel he barked his voice away and was very stressed. I dropped him off with medication in case. We got encouraging updates and great photos of what a great time he was having. We changed our plans and stayed away one more night with no problem. The owner was lovely and flexible. We picked our dog up and he was so happy and calm and not stressed out! I have already rebooked!!! So incredibly impressed and extremely reasonable prices with incredible service!!! Well done! Best dog kennel we've ever been to! The owners care about and love the dogs. It is clear. There is a nice big outdoor space the dogs get to play in. Our dog is reactive to other dogs so there is an option for him to have private outdoor time! We love it, he comes home happy and tired every time. We will continue to use this kennel for as long as we live here!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gracie’s Kennels. It’s always hard to find somewhere you trust to leave your dog while you are away and my mind was so at ease knowing our dog was in the care of Gracie’s kennels. They are so helpful from the time you book until the time you pick-up your dog. They are kind, personable, passionate and you can really feel that they love your animals as if they were their own. We are so glad we found Gracie’s kennels and we look forward to a long relationship with this kennel!

Super friendly and great service. I have a reactive dog who needs his own space away from other dogs. I know my dog is safe and is getting a lot of playtime when he's at Gracie's. His last stay was for 18 days, he came home happy and tired out! The added touch of getting photo updates is a huge bonus!! Highly recommend!

Our two boys loved their overnight at Gracie's! Carleigh's communication was great and we loved receiving pictures of them looking like they were having the time of their lives! When we picked them up the next morning they were tired from playing all day and obviously very happy! We will definitely use again and would highly recommend!

I would 100% recommend Gracie’s to anyone! Carleigh was unbelievable with my dog Rio, she treats him like he’s her own. The daycare is a great way for Rio to stay comfortable around other dogs and he comes home tired! YES!! Rio also has some allergies and specific feeding routines and she is more than willing to follow instructions and give medications along with lots of love.

I brought my high-maintenance dog (allergies, anxiety, and overly excitable) to Gracie’s for a few days and I picked her up happy, healthy, and very, very tired. I have had instances when my dog came home from a kennel injured, but Carleigh and Chris seemed incredibly attentive and I felt confident and comfortable that my pup would be in good hands. The kennel and yard areas are very clean and well maintained, and they have done a great job with their COVID-19 protocols to ensure everyone’s safety. They had no issue with administering her daily meds and watching out for her itchy side effects, or ensuring that her training would be upheld during her stay. When you find a great kennel and doggy daycare, you will be a customer for life, and I will continue telling everyone I know to take their pups to Gracie’s.

I could not say more great things about Gracie's and the care they provide to dogs that come and stay. Carleigh and Chris were very quick to respond to my initial inquiry, provided a complimentary day for dog day-care, and a tour before leaving him in their care! Our puppy LOVES spending time at Gracie's, the ability to play and interact with other dogs within a fenced in yard for most of the day, a rest period, treats, picture and video updates throughout the day, and tons of love from both of them. Gracie's facility is very clean and safe for our puppy to spend the day and we could not be more pleased. Their services are highly highly recommended to anyone and we can't wait for our puppy to grow up running and playing at Gracie's!

I dropped my pup off for daycare yesterday and he had an blast! He was all tuckered out when I picked him up. The owner was an absolute gem and very accommodating! I would definitely recommend this kennel and the daycare option they provide, I could tell he was cared for and the facility and fenced yard was very nice! Also make sure to follow them on social media, they post adorable pictures and videos of your pup during their visit. It completely made my day to see my little guy running around and having a good time during his stay!

We highly recommend Gracie's Kennels! Carleigh is amazing with our big old Italian Mastiff, she uploads pics and videos every time he's there. She understands how important private yard time is for our dog and makes sure he gets plenty of it. There is definitely no lack of love there :) Rates are very reasonable. All around great people, great place to leave your fur babies, we rest easy knowing ours is there.

I can not say enough about our experience with Gracie's! We have a very attached, I anxious pup and our only other kennel experience made us think it just wouldn't be an option for us however, from the moment we arrived at Gracie's, Levi seemed relaxed and happy to be there. Carleigh is such a reassuring presence and the constant (and beautiful) photos and videos allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation. We arrived back a day earlier than anticipated and were able to adjust our pickup time easily. The pup we took home was tired from playtime and happy as can be.

Excellent experience overall. We have used many other kennel/boarding services in the past. Our dog was often returned to us looking defeated and eager to leave. Gracie’s took excellent care of our girl. She was just as happy when we picked her up as she was when we dropped her off. Brought our dogs to Gracie's Kennels and they were able to take our reactive dog and spend one on one time with him as well as our friendly dog and put her into dog day care for some dog socialization. We appreciated the service and the dogs were looked after awesome.

The fact that after a four-day stay our cocker poodle puppy ran straight up to Carleigh (instead of in the opposite direction) when he next saw her told us everything we needed to know about his experience. Even though he had been 'abandoned' by us at his tender age as we had to make a trip for a hospital visit he was so pleased to see her again. Obviously he had been very well treated and had loved his stay. We have been highly impressed by everything we have seen at Gracie's from the moment we first visited.

Gracie's is literally THE best place in the Kootenays. We have a baby coonhound who is super sensitive to new people and situations, but desperately needed some dog interaction and playtime. We booked her at Gracie's the first time intending to send her only once or twice a week, and ended up sending her 4-5 days every week up until we moved away! She always came home relaxed, happy, and totally exhausted. Carleigh and Chris are the absolute best, and were always updating us with pictures and videos. If you want your dog happy, this is where you have to take them. Even if you don't need daycare, or boarding, just do your dog a favour and send them here. They will be SO much happier!

Our dog LOVES Gracie's. I'm sure if given the choice, she'd move in permanently. Carleigh and Chris are professional, attentive, and warm. They provide excellent boarding and daycare services. Can't say enough!
WILEY
My girlfriend and I took our 4.5 month old puppy Wiley to Nelson for a roadtrip in August and had a blast, but we wanted to have one day / night to ourselves. So I called up Carleigh at Gracie's Kennels and arranged for Wiley spend 24 hrs at her place. From the website and speaking with Carleigh on the phone, I felt confident and comfortable leaving our pup with her. After meeting Carleigh and dropping Wiley off and then picking him up the next morning, I would highly recommend Gracie's to anyone looking to leave their pup for a day or more in the area. The place is very close to downtown Nelson, the property is really nice, and Carleigh is wonderful. Our pup left a very happy puppy! We'll be back to Nelson and when we are, Wiley will be back at Gracie's!!

Carleigh has taken the kennel to the next level. My dog clearly enjoyed herself during her week. Not only will I continue to board her, I’d even consider bringing her to daycare when my schedule gets busy. Very reassured and satisfied.

Wonderful place run by even more wonderful people. Our dog loves his days here and and it's so incredibly useful for us when my partner and I are at work - we know our four legged friend can go somewhere for the day, hang out with his buddies and be well looked after. Such great value for this peace of mind and for an almost tired doggy at the end of the day.
Carleigh also takes amazing videos and photos of our pets so we can see what they get up to all day!
We recommend Gracie's to others regularly and will happily keep doing so!

My experience with Gracie's Kennels has been amazing. Esther stayed with them for 10 days. They are priced super reasonable and located very close to downtown Nelson which is very convenient. The facilities are excellent and you can tell how much Carleigh Cares!! Having been to many doggy day centres I would 100% recommend this one. You will not be disappointed!! Thanks guys!

The favourite part of my doggo's week is the time he gets to spend at Gracie's! I imagine it's like dropping your child off to school for the first time... that first day he was a little apprehensive, but now he jumps from the car and runs right up to Carleigh without even giving his mum a goodbye!! Carleigh is great with the dogs, and the Instagram stories show how much fun they have there. I would 10/10 recommend Gracie's; not just for your doggo, but for you also... as by the time they get home, they're so zonked after a play day that you can have a relaxing beer!
PHEOBE & MEMPHIS
Our two little dogs spend the night and two full days at Gracie Kennels last week. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found the right place. Carleigh greeted us and was very friendly and welcoming. Our 9 year old Yorkie had never spent a night in a kennel (lucky him!) and is somewhat of a nervous quirky dog so we were abit anxious of him being in a loud 'barky' place. Our 1 year old Yorkie-Havanese just plain loves life and people (what 1 year old dog doesn't) so loved every minute of the stay. Carleigh even check in with us in the evening with a photo of the dogs letting us know they were doing great and and settling in really well. What personalized care. I would highly recommend Gracie's Kennels to anyone. I could tell from the cars and trucks pulling in and out at pick up and drop off time that this place is very popular. Great job Carleigh!
EMERY & FLYNN
Our 2 huskies, Emery and Flynn, stayed at Gracie’s for a week in June. It was the first time at Gracie’s for both of them and needless to say, we were a bit worried as Em is a bit of a diva and usually doesn’t do well in a kennel or enclosed areas. They did have a trial day at Gracie’s beforehand and they did really well but being there for a week is very different. Well, I don’t know why we were so worried. They did wonderfully and were very happy dogs when we picked them up a week later. Carleigh kept us updated and in every photo she sent, they always had a big puppy smile. The enclosed run areas for them are so nice and the sleep area is impeccably clean. Gracie’s is now our go to place for boarding our pups as we can enjoy our holidays even more knowing our family is safe and happy.
DALLAS
Our dog had the best time during his stay! He has had several daycare sessions and this was his first overnight stay. Dallas loves Carleigh and she ensures the pups are kept safe and happy.
